The most infuriating thing about seasons 6-8 is the sheer amount of plot armour and deus ex machinas forced into the scenes to avoid the corners that the writers wrote the characters into. Characters who make stupid decisions escape the consequences of their actions, which completely contradicts one of the highlights of the series.
